Faeries are often referred to as "beings of light." The songs tell the stories of profoundly pure and good beings. Yet, when one takes a good look at their actions, it is easy to see that it is not the case. They are, in fact, very narcissistic. They like being the center of attention, the focus of songs, and the muses of all sorts of art forms. They believe that they are better than all other races, purer and fundamentally fairer. As a result, they are adamant that races must be segregated and that only royal lines can govern the world.
They are also known for their violence. They do not shy away from harsh punishment and often hide their violent tendencies under a mask of benevolence.
